The 40V Max. Brushless AWS 125mm (5”) Paddle Switch Angle Grinder delivers powerful cutting speeds with variable speed control via dial, allowing the user to control the speed between 3,000 –8,500rpm. Re-designed to withstand harsh conditions, the GA029G is highly durable with advanced protection against heat and dust. The improved heat dissipation capacity allows for continuous heavy duty operation. In addition there are a number of enhanced safety features including Active Feedback Sensors that will shut down the tool in the event of kickback. As well as soft start, anti-restart and an electric brake that will rapidly stop the wheel rotation for safe user operation. The GA029G is also compatible with AWS* for wireless connectivity with Makita dust extraction for a cleaner and safer work environment.

• Paddle Switch Design – GA029G features the deadman paddle slide switch design. While the grip circumference has been reduced for more comfortable handling.
• Active Feedback Sensing Technology (AFT) – sensors shut down the tool in the event of a kickback providing user protection. If the wheel rotation is suddenly forced to stop such as the wheel jamming the motor automatically shuts down.
• Tool-less Wheel Cover – allows for fast and easy adjustment and installation / removal of wheel cover, for swapping to optional cutting or dust collection guards.

The newly designed optimum charging system is able to achieve optimised fast charging by feeding real time battery data, such as battery condition and temperature with the charger. Dual cooling fans significantly reduce charging time as both the battery and charging circuit are cooled, allowing the charger to perform consecutive fast charges.

Ensuring users have are able to stay connected with the 18V LXT platform the DC40RA is compatible with the charging adaptor ADP10 (optional accessory). With this adaptor the DC40RA is able to rapid charge 18V LXT batteries up to 27% faster than 18V rapid charging models. Ensuring the battery spends more time working and less time sitting on the charger.
