PRECAUTIONARY MEASURE

Chemtools are issuing a precautionary product recall for specific batches of our Brake Cleaner Non-Flammable (BCNF) due to a potential manufacturing issue that may affect the pressure in the cans, causing a couple to combust. The batches effected are 1-2+ years old and there are no issues if the can was purchased close to manufacture date and used.
As part of our commitment to quality and safety, we have identified that the above batches may not meet our strict formulation standards. The issue has been addressed and the formula changed as this only becomes an issue if old cans sit around for a long time. This recall is being undertaken as a precautionary measure.

Some saws have been manufactured with electrical resistors and varistors that can be damaged by fluctuating voltages while connected to mains electricity. These damaged components can then become hot or start to smoulder if they continue to experience fluctuating voltage. This could also result in the saw catching fire.
Injury to the user may occur due to melted or smouldering parts or fire. Property damage could also occur.
The Kapex KS 88 and KS 120 mitre saws should be disconnected from the mains power when not in use.
Owners of potentially affected mitre saws should unplug their saw from the mains power and check whether their saw is affected by entering their saw's part number and serial number in the online search form at https://www.festool.com/campaigns/microsites/retrofit-au#KAPEXretrofit
Owners of affected saws should contact Festool via www.festool.com/retrofit or Tooltechnic by phone on 1300 063 900 to register their details for free modification of the saw to make them safe. People who no longer own a Festool KS 120 or KS 88 mitre saw should contact Tooltechnic to provide contact details of the new owner of the saw.

If the unit runs for prolonged periods in an enclosed area without ventilation, carbon monoxide poisoning could occur.

When the lawn mower is in use, a short circuit in the electronic system may occur which could be caused by a possibly defective transistor in the motor control. This short circuit leads to the failure of the device and restart attempts will be unsuccessful.
If this occurs and the consumer places the lawn mower in a garage or storeroom and does not comply with the operating instructions by removing the battery, and turning the safety key to 0 or removing the key, the short circuit may persist resulting in increased electrical current flowing into an adjacent component. If so, the adjacent component may subsequently overheat and catch on fire.
Consumers should cease use of the lawn mower immediately. Affected lawn mowers can be returned to local authorised Husqvarna dealers for repairs.
For further information, consumers should contact their local Husqvarna dealer, or Husqvarna Australia Pty Ltd on [email protected]
