Bluestrike Silicon Bronze is a premium-quality, general-purpose filler rod engineered to produce high-strength joints when welding copper, brass, copper-silicon, and copper-zinc components to themselves or to steel. It is highly effective across sheet, tube, and extruded sections, offering superior corrosion resistance and high tensile strength for demanding marine engineering, fabrication, and hot water system applications. This alloy features exceptionally low thermal conductivity, eliminating the need for preheating during operation. Additionally, the deoxidizing effect of the silicon creates a protective glassy oxide skin over the weld pool, while a narrow hot-short range (800°C-950°C) directly below the solidus ensures excellent weld puddle control and integrity.
